TUTCO SUREHEAT High temperature air heater designed for compressed air within 1.0MPa
Overview
Threaded Inline Heaters are used in demanding, high-pressure applications and processes requiring higher inlet temperatures. Serpentine™ heating elements are housed in a 304 stainless steel body that features threaded male NPT connections at both ends. It can achieve exhaust temperatures up to 1400º F and withstand pressures up to 150 PSI. TUTCO SureHeat offer two styles, Style “A” and Style “B” inline air heaters. Style “A” should be used when a leak-proof air system is required.
Overview
Threaded inline air heaters are commonly connected to filtered compressed air supply lines and rapidly heat air for precise temperature control inline with heated industrial processes.
Performance
Make sure to properly mount the TC coupling so that the TC is slightly above the ceramic rod running through the center of the Serpentine™ heating element. The open end of the TC should be in the heated air stream.
The inlet side of the heater is located closest to the power feed throughs. Installation orientation is critical. Positioning the heater in the wrong direction will cause damage. Like all Tutco SureHeat heaters, do not operate without the air on.

Style A
- Should be used whenever an absolute leak-proof system up to 150 psi (10 bar) is required
- Two high-temperature power feedthroughs
- Maximum inlet temperature 900˚F (482˚C)
Style B
- Maximum air pressure 150 psi (10 bar), but will have slight air leakage through power wire strands
- 12" (305mm) flexible power wires
- Maximum inlet temperature 200˚F (93˚C)
